You might have heard of the term "condensing boiler" but not aware of how these are any different to a standard gas boiler.
Essentially, a gas condensing High Efficiency boiler can be a combi; a system to heat your domestic water and your boiler water or regular unit to heat only your boiler water.
How do they work?
Condensing boilers work on the principle of reusing heat that would normally be rejected into the atmosphere from the flue of standard efficiency (non-condensing) boiler.
As a result, the temperature of the gases from the flue of a condensing boiler is typically 50-60C compared with 120-180C in a current non-condensing boiler. This creates a condensation (hence the name condensing), which is harmlessly expelled as vapour through a flue and as liquid through a convenient drain point.
At Pivot we have a solution for every problem...and the Condensing Gas Boilers are a brilliant solution for those looking for a a high efficient Gas Hydronic Boiler - or an add on for your Wood Fired Boiler (or Pellet Fired Boiler) to heat your hydronic heating.
Our wall-hung Gas Condensing Boilers work at very high and constant efficiencies reaching up to 108.6% enabling seasonal savings up to 35%
Use as an add on to your Wood Fired Boiler
At Pivot, we have a Control Box Kit which is the brains to make your Wood Boiler and Gas Boiler "work" together. The system will ensure smooth operation
