Effective 8th of August 2015.. all wood heaters need to be re-tested to comply to a new industry standards
AS4012/2014 & AS4013/2014
What this is means all wood heaters are tested to the same standards
What are the new Standards?
What this will do is reduce the pollution wood heater produce – making the air much cleaner
What this will do is ensure you now burn less wood to give you the same amount of heat
The higher the efficiency – the better performing your heater is and the less amount of wood you will use
A wood heater with 55% efficiency compared to a wood heater with 65% efficiency means you will burn 1mtr less of wood per year
A 10% increase in efficiency is equivalent to 1mtr of wood less per year you will need to burn
