Pivot's TRADE IN PROGRAM is the perfect opportunity to make the most of your old Non Complaint Wood Heater and TRADE IN to a more efficient (and more reliable) Next Generation Low Carbon Wood Heater
WOOD HEATER TRADE IN PROGRAM
TRADE IN your old wood heater to a new wood heater, which complies with the new 2014 Industry Initiative and receive a trade in value up to $300.00
In August 2015, the Industry Standards are changed all wood heating testing requirements, that will make them more efficient and effective
Currently all wood heaters must be tested and approved to AS/NZ 4012:1999 & 4013:1999. The Maximum Emissions cannot be over 4grams of Emissions per KG of Wood
NEW in 2015 - ALL wood heaters will be re-tested and will have to comply with this new standard to have a maximum emissions of 2.5grams per KG of Wood
Currently with all wood heaters, there is no minimum efficiency required: BUT effective 2015, all wood heaters must have a minimum 55% efficiency
What this Offers...
The New Efficiency standard is the way to really know what your wood heater will cost you to run
if you look at two heaters.. the same size.. One is 50% efficient.. The Other 60% efficient - this works out to be 10% difference in the Efficiency
The benefit here is not only do you use less wood, but your heater is cheaper to run.
Imagine looking at a heater at 70% compared to a heater at 50%... thats 2 TON* a year difference
*A ton of wood used here to calculate is a Imperial TON of wood - a 6'x4' Trailer load ...

Q & A
Q: When I remove my old wood heater - how do I get it back to Pivot?
A: You don't have to return it to us, we highly recommend you take to your local "Sims" ( or equivalent ) Steel recycling plant and recycle
WE DO NOT recommend that you re-use this heater for any purpose such as using it in your shed.
RE-SELLING your old unit on platforms such as EBay is a breach of our TRADE IN PROGRAM
Q: So how do I arrange this?
Q: I heard that these new 2014 low carbon heaters won't burn overnight?
A: This is incorrect - some do, some do not. This is a very important question and we encourage you to chat to our team to discuss your requirements so we can advise the right heater for your home
Q: I don't have a wood heater - but have an old Air conditioner (Heat Pump) - am I still eligible?
A: Simple question is YES - the CSIRO White Paper reports that the new Low Carbon Wood Heaters offer less emissions than old Heat Pumps, and the objective to our program is to make a difference in the world by helping you reduce your carbon foot print.
So an old Non Compliant smoky wood heater - or an old rattily Heat Pump.. either way the New Low Carbon Wood Heaters will be a more efficient way of heating your home
Q: I found another heater on your web site that is not on this program, can I get the same deal here?
A: Sorry No : Our Pivot Trade In Program is only available with the range of Low Carbon Wood Heaters that are listed in this program
Q: I am interstate - can I still use this program?
A: Absolutely! Our Pivot Trade-In Program is available for anyone who has a non compliant heater, Australia wide
Q: What makes a Heater Listed on your Program?
A: We have devised a stringent list of parameters the listed wood heaters MUST comply to to be eligible on our Trade-In Program
This is a 3 stage Standard that complies

Pivot's 1 Million Ton Campaign
We are proud to be leaders in honouring our 1million Ton Campaign we committed to the industry and the world since 2006...
The 1 Million Ton Campaign is a basic concept: if everyone took the initiative to make 1 change, 1 simple approach to their life style...reduce your personal carbon foot print by only 10% - this is all is going to take to make a difference.
If we wait for the politicians - wait for the major manufacturing and resource blue chip companies to do something...it will be too late to make a difference.
So how does Pivot Stove have anything to do with this? Back in 2006 we made a decision to advertise the testing results of all wood heaters.
These emissions are listed on every page on our web site - and on every heater in our showrooms. Each heater we list the emissions and efficiency results, this is managed by the Australian Home Heating Association (AHHA)
The Australian Home Heating Association has instituted a robust Certification Procedure to ensure that wood heater models offered for sale comply with the current Australian/New Zealand Standards AS/NZS 4012/4013.
All wood heaters listed comply with:
AS/NZS 4012:1999 "Domestic solid fuel burning appliances - Method for determination
of power output and efficiency"
AS/NZS 4013:1999 "Domestic solid fuel burning appliances - Method for determination
of flue gas emission"
These results are publicly available on the Australian Home Heating Association web site www.homeheat.com.au
The Australian standard requires heaters to have a maximum of 4grms of Co2 per 1Kg of wood consumed - at Pivot we are promoting heaters in our Low Carbon Program any heater that is 2grm or less...promoting heaters that are half the Australian Standards.
This now complies to the upcoming Industry Initiative Changes...
Effective October 2014 all wood heaters need to comply to a new Standard
With an estimated 4.5 to 5 Million ton of wood used each season for Australian wood heating systems, by choosing a heater that produces half the emissions...you will make a difference in the impact of the Smoke haze by buying a wood heater with the lowest Grms/Pk and the highest Efficiency.
I am proud to have the opportunity in my lifetime to not only have the knowledge that WE CAN make the changes for our children - but have the resources in my hands to do something about this
If you buy a heater from Pivot or not...this is not the concept behind the 1Million Ton Campaign - but to make it known that there is a choice you can make that will impact the future.
Ask: with your next purchase - what is the emission of the new heater you are looking at? Make a simple choice of buying a heater with 2gms or less - this alone will reduce your carbon foot print (over a 15 year life expectancy) of 10ton less of carbon emissions
Ask: with your next purchase - what is the efficiency of the new heater you are looking at? A heater with 45% efficiency compared to a heater with a 65+% efficiency will use 2 ton a year less wood...
Put this together - we get 100,000 people to change their wood heater to a model with half the Australian standards - we have reduced our carbon emissions by 1Million Tons a year!!
Get on board - make an educated choice and be apart of our 1Million Ton Campaign
