Air Cooled triple skin flue kit for wood heaters

If you’re installing a wood heater, you need a wood heater flue kit.

A default wood heater flue kit is also known as a triple skin flue kit.

  • Flue inside the ceiling –  The flue through the roof is air cooled to make it safe. You can install this flue as close to 25mm away from any timber.
  • Flue inside the room – The flue has different looks to suit your home’s style.

You can choose the look of the flue inside your home from;

  • Painted stainless steel, with a heat shield to protect the wall behind the heater,
  • a traditional decro mesh that goes around the stainless flue,
  • or a more modern looking flue called solid decro mesh (no holes)

Additional bends and lengths are all available.

what is a default triple skin flue kit?

Default flue kits are the most common style flue for wood heaters and cookers.
This flue uses air to cool the outer flue as it goes through the roof cavity.
Inside the room you can choose between painted stainless / decro mesh or solid painted flue (called solid decro).

Very clean looking flue, the exposed stainless flue is painted black to match your heater.
The first length has a heat shield to protect the rear wall from the heat

standard slotted decro flue kits

A more open style decro flue, it suits wood heaters that have a lot of decorative venting.
This flue kit comes with a standard wood heater cowl.

solid decro flue kits

Our most popular style, this flue has no holes, so no more spider webs or dust.
The flue kit is also upgraded to an all stainless steel wind rim cowl, with the solid decro mesh, which makes the flue quieter.
