The difference between radiant heat : convection heat and fan forced heat is a controversial conversation.

Radiant wood heaters offer a consistent temperature in the room, that is more intense : but lacks the ability to move this temperature around the room.

Convection wood heaters create their own air flow to move the heat around the room

Fan Forced heaters traditionally are poor designed and rely on the fan to do all the work.

The regency Alterra wood heater is a true convection heater, with fan assist : the fan will help move the heat around the room, but the heater is not reliant on this

fire brick lined

the alterra comes standard with firebrick lining on the sides and rear wall. the top baffle is also simple firebrick construction
