The Upgraded 990 – the NEW ESSE 1000W has so many new features

Still has 3 of the deepest ovens, and all true baking ovens at different temperatures, plus ESSE’s patented wood fired BBQ where you can cook the perfect steak inside your firebox over glowing embers for the most delicious chargrill steak – it’s a true foodies heaven to cook on.

The extra width of the stove gives additional cook top cooking – you can go from boil to simmer by just sliding your pans across the large dog-bone shaped hot plate.

Unique is the firebox, but only is it the most efficient slow combustion wood stove ever built, with up to 15 hours of burn on a full load of wood and there is a glass door over the fire to allow you to use the heat from your ESSE to heat your room up to 60+m2.

The optional hot water jacket will provide you home with free hot water for many years ahead.

Description

Behind the classic 1930s ESSE styling, this is a truly advanced piece of engineering, capable of extraordinary day-in-day-out cooking performance with an absolute minimum of wasted energy. In fact, we believe the 1000 W is the cleanest-burning cooker of its kind.

This 100cm wide wood-burning range is a dream to cook on. With three large ovens (which can all maintain different temperatures), and four doors, there’s room for a larger cast iron hotplate – enabling you to keep more pans gently bubbling on the hob.

Behind its cast iron door, the firebox features a secondary clear glass door, making it easy to check your fire – and to enjoy the flickering warmth of its flames, as it keeps your kitchen cosy. A mineral fuel grate option is available if you’d prefer to burn solid fuel.

Returning to the 1000 W’s outstanding energy efficiency, twin catalytic combusts and “reburns” escaping smoke particles, resulting in practically non-existent CO emissions of just 0.01%.

Independently rated as over 85% energy-efficient, it’s also a DEFRA-exempt appliance suitable for burning wood in a smoke control zone.

Slide in the ESSE BBQ rack (included with your stove) over glowing red embers inside the firebox of the ESSE 1000 W and you can chargrill the perfect steak, or pop on a pizza stone for your very own wood fired pizzas
